Saturday Live

A new programme bringing exciting live music to your Saturday afternoons. We’re building out from our classical roots to bring you jazz and other music genres that promise to be the sound of a good weekend.

We give a stage to emerging artists, young composers and underrepresented genres—shining a light on new voices and fresh sounds.

Expect everything from classical and jazz to experimental music, all performed live by some of the most talented up-and-coming musicians.

Regency String Quartet

The Regency String Quartet was formed at the Royal Academy of Music in 2021 and comprises of scholars at London conservatoires.

Sam has grown up surrounded by music, particularly orchestras and brass bands, and started playing cornet at the age of 6.

Erola Masqué was born in 2002 in Vic (Catalonia / Spain), at the age of seven began her musical education with Coloma Bertran and Quim Térmens at the Vic Professional Conservatory.

Mingyang Shen, born in Hangzhou, China, completed his undergraduate studies at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music under the mentorship of Professors Ao Kun and Zhang Jiaxuan.

Rob Burton (saxophone) & Mark Rogers (piano) 

Wednesday 2 July 1.10pm

London-based saxophonist and painter Rob Burton won the Woodwind Category Final of BBC Young Musician 2018 and went on to secure a place in the Grand Final at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall, where he performed as concerto soloist with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
