We offer daily services and a cultural programme of talks, events and concerts. We seek to be a welcoming space for people to reflect, create and debate.
St James’s Piccadilly, The Sixteen and the Genesis Foundation have joined forces in a five-year partnership celebrating the power of music to inspire, connect and bring people together. Discover extraordinary performances, new music and opportunities for the next generation of musicians.
At Christmas, St James’s is a place where everyone is welcome. For people facing loneliness, homelessness, poor mental health, financial hardship or displacement, our doors can offer something as simple – and as important – as a warm welcome, practical support and a place where they are known and treated with dignity.
St James’s hosts inclusive services and a cultural programme. We seek to be a welcoming space for people to reflect, create and debate.

Artist Bio
Estelle Gonzalez is a British-French violist based primarily in London and Manchester. She began her musical journey on the violin at the age of six, later switching to the viola at eighteen, and is currently studying a Master of Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, supported by a General Award Holder Scholarship.
Under the guidance of Matthew Jones, Estelle continues to develop her individual voice and artistry as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. She performs on a commissioned viola made by Jürgen Manthey in Leipzig, with a bow crafted by Chris Graves.
In June 2026, Estelle was awarded the Rachel Godlee Viola Prize at the Royal Northern College of Music, adjudicated by Carol Ella, former member of the London Symphony Orchestra and BBC Symphony Orchestra. She also had the honour of being principal viola for a performance of Schoenberg’s ‘Verklärte Nacht’ alongside directors Zoe Beyers and Peter Dixon in the RNCM Concert Hall for the annual Strings Festival. Additionally, Estelle performed solo Bach at the 50th International Viola Congress in Paris, received the Brodsky Prize 2026 with her ensemble, Trio Amalie, and has competed in the Christopher Rowland chamber music finals for three consecutive years.
In 2024, Estelle was selected for the BBC Philharmonic’s Professional Experience Scheme and has performed alongside musicians from the Royal Northern Sinfonia, BBC Philharmonic, and London Symphony Orchestra. Estelle has also participated in masterclasses with Timothy Ridout, Nobuko Imai, Hélène Clement, Garth Knox and Martin Outram. Beyond her performing activities, she enjoys composing her own music and arranging for various ensemble types. Estelle is grateful to be supported by, and an artist of Talent Unlimited.
