Community Impact

Discover how St James’s is putting faith into action through practical support, partnerships and projects that serve our local community.

FEAST

On Monday evenings we invite our guests to a sit down meal inside the church where we serve them a delicious meal.

FEAST gives us an opportunity to eat together, share our stories, and get to know each other.

Cugoano Changemakers

Cugoano Changemakers is an 18-month programme for 15 young adults aged 18 to 30 who are ready to speak with courage, act with care and help shape what comes next. Open to people of all faiths and none. Its name connects creative and ethical practice to a continuing question about how people and institutions act.

Asylum seekers and refugees

A welcoming community where people seeking sanctuary don’t face the asylum journey alone, but find friendship, practical support, and a place to belong.

Caravan

The Caravan is a free drop and counselling service run by the CCPE (Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education) in partnership with St James’s Church, open seven-days-a-week, offering a core service of listening and emotional support.

Sunday Breakfast Club

Every Sunday morning we serve a hot sit-down breakfast in our church hall to people going through homelessness or living on low incomes.

Wardrobe

Wardrobe, St James’s clothing donation service, runs alongside our Sunday Breakfast Club for individuals experiencing homelessness or living on low incomes.

Why this matters

More people than ever are facing loneliness, homelessness, poor mental health and financial hardship in central London. St James’s Piccadilly is often the place they turn when other support has run out. Your gift will ensure nobody who comes through our doors is turned away, providing practical help, human connection and hope when it is needed most.
