We have a number of on-site additional facilities and services. These can be hired, subject to availability, by those hiring one of our venues.
Commercial kitchen
We have an up-to-date compact commercial kitchen that can be hired when you hire a venue, subject to availability. The kitchen can be used for the preparation of cold or reheated food. It can also be used to prepare meals “from scratch” if you wish your own chefs to cook in our kitchen. However, proof of appropriate certification will be required.
Our kitchen is located in the basement, immediately adjacent to the Conference Room. Access to the church is only via stairs.
There is a double door immediately adjacent to the kitchen through which deliveries can be made. Access is via stairs from Church Place. However, Church Place is pedestrianised and drop-off needs to be on Piccadilly or Jermyn Street. There are no parking facilities.
In addition to the commercial kitchen, as a licensed premises, we can provide and staff a bar if relevant for your event.
Audio-visual equipment
St James’s has a range of audio-visual equipment when hiring a venue. Some of this can be rented on a self-operation basis, for example, flat screens.
We also have more sophisticated audio-visual equipment including a professional standard Yamaha sound desk, Panasonic multi-camera streaming rig, TF Rack Digital Mixer and Hollyland Wireless Video Transmission System enabling outdoor recording/streaming. Please note that is you wish to hire these for your event, they can only be operated by our team of experienced technicians. Thus there is a charge for technician time in addition to the rental fee. In rare cases we will agree to suitably experienced external technicians/operators to use them, but their use will still have to be overseen by one of our technical team.
Venue management
As a busy venue for concerts and all kinds of events, we have an experienced venue management team who can take care of all your technical and front-of-house needs. We also have an experienced security team who are used to managing events in a professional and respectful manner. The cost of this team is included in our standard pricing. (Additional costs will apply if your event requires more staffing). We require that our time manage all public-facing events. However, with private and corporate events, we are experienced in working with the client’s own staff.
