We host a year-round creative programme encompassing music, visual art and spoken word.
We offer hospitality to people going through homelessness and speak out on issues of injustice, especially concerning refugees, asylum, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ issues.

It costs £5,000 each day to keep the doors of St James’s open to all who already need us.
A reimagined St James’s realised. A redesigned garden, courtyard and new building capacity—all fully accessible— will provide beautiful spaces for all as well as improving our environmental performance.

I came to St James’s Church in search of a liberal Anglican community underpinned by determination to live the promise of God’s love through practical action and worship.
After a long and varied career, including strong links to, and working for, the voluntary sector, I found SJP to be a loving and forward-looking community. The Wren Project is very close to my heart. As I believe Wren has already shown – and will go on to reveal to new communities – SJP’s centuries’ old tradition and belief in trusting God and reaching out to the world.
In terms of the present, I hope to be an effective and conscientious Deanery Synod Representative and look forward to supporting the PCC.
