Katie is delighted to be joining St James’s Piccadilly as Heritage Programme Manager, working on the Wren Project to explore new ways of bringing the church’s rich history to life.
Before joining St James’s, Katie has worked across museums and historic houses, finding creative ways to engage people with history and culture, with her passion for making history accessible, fascinating, and relevant to people today. With a particular fondness for the weird and wonderful side of London’s history, Katie is interested in the curious characters, forgotten stories and unexpected details that resonate with today’s audiences – finding creative ways to share these stories, spark curiosity, and connect people with heritage in new and meaningful ways.
Katie’s work focuses on developing the Wren Project’s heritage programme, building partnerships and creating opportunities for people to connect with St James’s through research, storytelling, creative activities and community participation. She is particularly interested in how historic places can bring people together, inspire new perspectives and create meaningful connections between the people of the past and the present.
