Claire Wright

Churchwarden

Claire started coming to St James in 2015, and immediately that felt had found her spiritual home. She has worked as a nurse midwife, community educator and NHS children’s services manager.

In the early 1990s she worked in Honduras and was inspired by the Liberation Theology movement, and now she has retired, can focus more on social justice causes, as well as pursuing her not so hidden dream of becoming an artist. At St James’s she is involved with the Winter Shelter, Citizens, the Ukulele Orchestra, the Welcoming team, the Giving group and is one of the Churchwardens.
