Church Window Mask

The Sunday Forum is an open online group, that runs parallel to the coffee after the service, from 12.30pm to 1pm on a Sunday, open to all.

It provides space for fellowship, discussion and spiritual growth for people not able to attend St James’s Church Piccadilly in person. SJPs vision guides the way the group runs: “Rooted in Gods earth, we envision a just society and a creative and open hearted church”

The following guidelines are to help the Forum be a place for open discussion and mutual support.

  1. Confidentiality: Members are asked to keep information shared confidential within the session (where personal information is shared please do not share outside the group unless permission is given e.g prayer in another setting). If any safeguarding issues occur please discuss your concerns with the host outside of the meeting or Lucy Winkett rector@sjp.or.uk if not addressed.
  2. Respect for Difference: Members are asked to respect views different from theirs, different needs and There is no such thing as a ‘silly question’ or answer.
  3. Time and Space: members are asked to respect the relatively short time that the Forum runs (30 minutes each week), helping all to have time to contribute if they want to.
  4. Non-contribution: Members are asked to respect other members choice not to contribute, leaving this for the hosts’ discretion. This includes not expecting any individual to share personal information if they don’t wish to.
