Losing Identity explores the silent grief and resilience of women fleeing Ethiopia and Eritrea across the Mediterranean Sea in unsafe, overcrowded boats.
The Sunday Forum is an open online group, that runs parallel to the coffee after the service, from 12.30pm to 1pm on a Sunday, open to all.

It costs £5,000 each day to keep the doors of St James’s open to all who already need us.
A reimagined St James’s realised. A redesigned garden, courtyard and new building capacity—all fully accessible— will provide beautiful spaces for all as well as improving our environmental performance.

Experience the magic of Christmas by candlelight in the heart of Piccadilly.
St James’s aspires to be a place where all can belong, and where every person’s gifts and identities are welcome and celebrated. We are working to improve the experience at St James’s in the church building and the online community. We have step-free access from the courtyard to the church, and a toilet for disabled people. The courtyard and Redemption Roasters coffee shop are wheelchair accessible.
Join us for the much-loved St James’s Christmas by Candlelight, a beautiful festive concert filled with brass fanfares, glorious choral music and traditional Christmas carols.
As candlelight fills St James’s, let the music transport you into the spirit of Christmas. From joyful anthems and much-loved favourites to quieter moments of reflection, the programme offers something for everyone.
Hear familiar favourites including O Come, All Ye Faithful, Sussex Carol, In the Bleak Midwinter, Silent Night, Sleigh Ride and O Holy Night, before joining together for a festive singalong.

At Christmas, St James’s is a place where everyone is welcome. For people facing loneliness, homelessness, poor mental health, financial hardship or displacement, our doors can offer something as simple – and as important – as a warm welcome, practical support and a place where they are known and treated with dignity.

Your gift supports hot meals, practical assistance, mental health support, refugee and asylum seeker support, and the staff and volunteers who make this work possible.
