An evening with Joe Abercrombie to celebrate his new fantasy novel, The Devils.
The bestselling author of the First Law series unleashes a brilliantly inventive and witty fantasy yarn, involving bloodthirsty elves, a congregation of monsters and a plot to place a thief on the throne of Troy. Joe will be in conversation with actor Steven Pacey.
Joe Abercrombie was born in Lancaster, England, on the last day of 1974. He was educated at the stiflingly all-boy Lancaster Royal Grammar School, where he spent much of his time playing computer games, rolling dice, and drawing maps of places that don’t exist. Joe now lives in Bath with his wife, Lou, and his children Grace, Eve and Teddy. He splits his time between film editing and writing edgy yet humorous fantasy novels…
Steven Pacey is an English actor, with a performance career spanning over 40 years, encompassing film, television, theatre, musical theatre, radio and audiobooks. Steven is much loved for his characterful renditions in over three hundred radio plays and over two hundred audio-books, including the works of Martin Amis, Susan Hill, Ian Rankin, Joanne Harris and Joe Abercrombie.
Please note: Book and ticket option includes a copy of The Devils (RRP. £25) available for collection on the night.
