We host a year-round creative programme encompassing music, visual art and spoken word.

It costs £5,000 each day to keep the doors of St James’s open to all who already need us.
A reimagined St James’s realised. A redesigned garden, courtyard and new building capacity—all fully accessible— will provide beautiful spaces for all as well as improving our environmental performance.

Alexander is a collaborative pianist, repetiteur and composer based in London, studying as a repetiteur at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Georgia Tolson is a soprano currently in the first year of her Master’s degree at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

Artist Bio
Alexander is a collaborative pianist, repetiteur and composer based in London, studying as a repetiteur at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. While there he has worked on and performed in Britten’s Owen Wingrave, and the autumn Opera Scenes. He is a recipient of a Helpmusicians Sybil Tutton Opera award and a beneficiary of Margery & Frederick Steven Wright Eisinger Award as facilitation for his studies. He has recently completed a course at the Georg Solti Accademia, culminating in a performance of Arias and Scenes at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice. He has also performed as a song pianist at Milton Court Concert hall among other venues. Before coming to Guildhall, he worked for Opera North as their Learning and Engagement Accompanist. As a composer, Alex has had pieces performed by the Royal Northern Sinfonia and the Oxford Philharmonic.
Georgia Tolson is a soprano currently in the first year of her Master’s degree at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where she also completed her undergraduate studies. She studies with John Evans, and is excited to continue her studies on the Guildhall Opera Course in September. Recent work has centred on both song and operatic repertoire, with Georgia being awarded first prize in the Guildhall English Song Competition in January, reflecting her affinity for text led, honest and communicative performance. Her recent operatic experience includes covering the roles of Mrs Julian in Owen Wingrave at Guildhall, and Fiordiligi in Glasslight Opera’s production of Così fan tutte, as well as performing in scenes as Ilia (Idomeneo) and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni). She also recently performed in the chorus for Guildhall’s production of Der Wald (Ethel Smyth), and covered the role of Littler Sister in Proving Up (Missy Mazzoli). She is currently working on Clorinda from La Cenerentola (Rossini) for Glasslight Opera.
