Artist Bio

Layla Wang is a London-based violinist and Artistic Director of YUNSHAN ARTS. She holds an Artist Diploma in Violin from the Royal College of Music, where she studied with Susanne Stanzeleit and Jennifer Pike. As a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral violinist, Layla has performed extensively across China and the UK, appearing in major concert halls and theatres and collaborating with professional orchestras and ensembles. She has also been invited to perform at a range of cultural and community events in London. Layla is a prize winner of international music competitions, including the Grand Prize in the Global Talent Competition (Strings Division) and First Prize at the Birmingham International Music Competition.
Through YUNSHAN ARTS, Layla creates and curates artistic projects that connect classical music with culture and other forms of creative expression. Her work explores new ways of bringing music to diverse audiences and creating intimate, meaningful and memorable concert experiences.

Yihan Jin is a Chinese pianist and PhD candidate at the Royal College of Music, where she earned a Master of Performance with Distinction. Yihan has performed extensively across the UK, France, and China. Her performances have taken place at venues including the Britten Theatre, Cardiff University Concert Hall, Shrewsbury St Chad’s Church, Mairie du 3e arrondissement, the Regional Conservatory of Versailles, Salle Maurice Koehl, and Guangdong Province Steinway Concert Hall. She was also invited to perform the music of the late Sir Peter Maxwell Davies for his family and friends at the Sir Peter Maxwell Davies International Study Day. Nouvelles d’Europe remarked that “a simple melody gained depth and nuance under her touch.” Vanessa Latarche praised her “considerable amount of technical accomplishment and impressive pianistic skills,” noting that she “provided an imaginative connection in the pieces presented.” Deniz Gelenbe described her performance as “highly intellectual,” commending her ability to “perform such a difficult programme with ease.”

As a researcher, Yihan has presented her work at the London International Piano Symposium and Columbia University Global Centres in Paris. Alongside her performance and academic work, she is also a teacher and translator. She has visited major conservatoires and universities across China, including the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Tianjin Conservatory of Music, Xi’an Conservatory of Music, Shenzhen University, and South China Normal University, contributing to UK–China cultural and academic projects, international masterclasses, and academic lectures. She has also contributed as a translator at Shanghai Music Publishing House and China Piano Art Journal.
