Rebekah Yinuo Tan was born in August 2006 in Shanghai. Inspired to become a concert pianist after hearing Chopin’s music in a live concert when she was 7, she started taking formal piano lessons half a year later with Zijie Wu.

It costs £5,000 each day to keep the doors of St James’s open to all who already need us.
A reimagined St James’s realised. A redesigned garden, courtyard and new building capacity—all fully accessible— will provide beautiful spaces for all as well as improving our environmental performance.

After discovering the joy of St James’s in 2024, I’ve been enchanted ever since. As part of both Young St James’s and the wider congregation, it is an honour to share in a community that sincerely values what it means to be human and deeply loved by God. It continues to be a beautiful expansion of both my faith and the wider world around me.
Beyond church, I graduated from university with a degree in History and now make music under the name Abi Ocia. Though the two may appear to sit on opposite ends of the spectrum, I adore the shared thread of storytelling and exploring the human experience.
