Heritage Programme Manager

£43,000 pa (full-time employment contract)

St James’s, Piccadilly is at an exciting moment in its 340-year history. The ‘Wren Project’ was recently awarded major grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to complete fundraising towards the £23m. The Wren Project has secured it’s Permission to Start from the Heritage Fund and the Delivery Phase is well under way.

This new role will be the first recruitment to a new team who will be responsible for finalising and delivering the Wren Project Activity Plan, working alongside the in-house team.

The Activity Plan will ensure that the proposed repairs and upgrades to the buildings are delivered in tandem with a first-class heritage learning and participation programme. It will be impactful, inclusive and sustainable, delivering outcomes for the community, the heritage and the organisation. This will be achieved by:

• Driving and deepening relationships with audiences
• Decreasing barriers to access
• Uplifting the heritage story
• Increase organisational resilience
• Support individual and community wellbeing needs
• Support local economic needs
• Promoting environmental sustainability and climate action

£43,000 pa; 7.5% pension contribution by St James’s with 0.5 contribution by the employee; 25 days annual leave plus public holidays
