It costs £5,000 each day to keep the doors of St James’s open to all who already need us.

Author, Episcopal priest and prophetic leader The Rev. Canon Dr. Stephanie Spellers visits St James’s, to preach and help us reimagine the church’s future in an increasingly multicultural, nonreligious milieu.
She is traveling the UK in April for her new book, Church Tomorrow?: What the ‘Nones’ and ‘Dones’ Teach Us About the Future of Faith, a lively and challenging text that wrestles with the decline of traditional religion and the voices of nonreligious Millennials and Gen Zers.
The Revd Spellers is the Canon in Residence at our partner church, St. Bartholomew’s in New York City. Before that, she spent nearly a decade serving alongside Presiding Bishop Michael Curry and overseeing the Episcopal Church’s ministries of evangelism, racial reconciliation, church planting, ethnic ministries and environmental justice.
