It costs £5,000 each day to keep the doors of St James’s open to all who already need us.
A reimagined St James’s realised. A redesigned garden, courtyard and new building capacity—all fully accessible— will provide beautiful spaces for all as well as improving our environmental performance.

Experience the beauty and stillness of Choral Evensong as Genesis Sixteen alumni return to St James’s Piccadilly for an evening of exceptional choral music.
St James’s aspires to be a place where all can belong, and where every person’s gifts and identities are welcome and celebrated. We are working to improve the experience at St James’s in the church building and the online community. We have step-free access from the courtyard to the church, and a toilet for disabled people. The courtyard and Redemption Roasters coffee shop are wheelchair accessible.
Bringing together singers from the renowned Genesis Sixteen programme, this special service features music by Charles Villiers Stanford, Lucy Walker and Joanna Forbes-L’Estrange, conducted by Olivia Tait with Michael Haslam on organ.
The programme includes Stanford’s Evening Service in C, Lucy Walker’s Lighten Our Darkness and O Sing to the Lord, alongside responses by Joanna Forbes-L’Estrange.
A chance to hear outstanding young choral voices in the beautiful surroundings of St James’s, Piccadilly, this Choral Evensong is open to all and forms part of the church’s ongoing relationship with The Sixteen and its commitment to celebrating and nurturing the next generation of choral musicians.
This service will be recorded by BBC Radio 3 for future broadcast on 28 October 2026.
