Soul at Saint James: Woman

Church Window Mask

Sunday 3 March 2pm

The theme for the day is “Woman”, exploring the importance of women and the need to invest in women and support and promote change in favour of women, for the good of the world.
  • Getting here

We are at 197 Piccadilly London W1J 9LL between Piccadilly and Jermyn Street, about 200 yards from Piccadilly Circus.

  • The Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir will be performing “Respect”, “Girl On Fire” and “I’m Every Woman”. Alongside the likes of Lauryn Hill’s “To Zion”, the Clark Sisters’ “You Brought The Sunshine” and our own Peter Yarde Martin’s “Magnificat”. And a funky version of Bill Withers’ incredibly moving tribute song “Grandma’s Hands”.

Our partner for the event is women’s mentoring organization BelEve for whom these aspirations are a daily agenda – “inspiring the next generation of female leaders”, “creating a community of empowered and inspired girls and young women who believe they can”.

Each month’s event is themed, focusing on specific aspects of our lives. Including street food and a bar the whole day will leave you uplifted and full of joy.

We rely on the generosity of individuals like you to support our free events, as the costs involved include running expenses, compensating musicians, and paying skilled sound technicians—all made possible through your donations to our charitable cause.
