Relaxed Saturday Live: Joe Thompson (piano) & Sophie Alloway (drums)

Church Window Mask

Saturday 28 March 11am

Piano versus drums: How do they vary? What do they have in common? Like brother and sister, do they play nicely, or do they argue a lot?

    Artist Bio

Sophie Alloway met Joe Thompson 15 years ago playing in a jazz trio at London’s prestigious Ivy Club. Between them, they have played most musical styles to most age-groups (from hip-hop to “hip op”) all over the world, working mostly in London.

Their trio has played for King Charles III at Buckingham Palace and they recently performed as a duo at St James’s Palace. Their St James’s session will be a little less sedate, and both are looking forward to drawing on the wealth of their musical experiences from Royal to Reggae.
