Palm Sunday Eucharist with donkey procession

Church Window Mask

Sunday 24 March 11am

Palm Sunday recalls the story of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, greeted by people waving palm branches

Holy Week is a pilgrimage we make together. It represents Jesus Christ’s journey, from triumphant entry into Jerusalem to shouts of Hosanna! through to the last supper with his disciples, betrayal and death on the cross. Then the joy and victory of Resurrection at Easter.

Gather at 11am in the courtyard outside the church for a procession with our visiting donkey (from Hackney City Farm), music, and palms. Moving into the church, the whole of the Passion gospel is read, before celebrating the Eucharist together.
