St James’s is a place to explore, reflect, pray, and support all who are in need. We are a Church of England parish in the Anglican Communion.
We host a year-round creative programme encompassing music, visual art and spoken word.
We offer hospitality to people going through homelessness and speak out on issues of injustice, especially concerning refugees, asylum, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ issues.
St James’s strives to advocate for earth justice and to develop deeper connections with nature.
We aspire to be a home where everyone can belong. We’re known locally and globally for our unique history and beauty, as well as faith in action, creativity and the arts, and a commitment to social and environmental justice.
We strive to be a Eucharist-centred, diverse and inclusive Christian community promoting life in abundance, wellbeing and dignity for all.

Our corporate friends are really important to us and we aspire to have long term, mutually-rewarding relationships
It costs £3,500 per day to keep our doors open and serve the community through our social outreach projects. By becoming a Corporate Friend of St James’s, your investment will transform lives and enable us to continue our work.
You also have the opportunity to empower your employees through our volunteer programme, helping shape the kind of community we all want to live and work in.
This quarter, our focus is on one of our outreach projects for refugees and asylum seekers. We have dedicated staff to offer support and solidarity. Many of those we help are from countries where it is unsafe or illegal to be true to themselves. We run a thriving LGBTQ+ group – ‘Pride of St James’s’ to create community and foster inclusivity for those experiencing a hostile environment.
We also work with those experiencing homelessness, support mental health through our counselling caravan and help with employment for those that were formerly incarcerated, at our Redemption Roasters Café on Jermyn Street.
We are extremely grateful to our corporate friends and supporters who enable us to continue our work. We hope that you will join the ever-growing number of Corporate Friends who are helping us. You can make a one-off donation, or you can choose to spread your gift across 12 monthly payments.
To become a Corporate Friend, please contact Brian Willetts, Director of Development.
