St James’s is a place to explore, reflect, pray, and support all who are in need. We are a Church of England parish in the Anglican Communion. This is a place for everyone who’s wondering about life’s big questions and striving for a better world.
We host a year-round cultural programme encompassing music, visual art and spoken word, drawing on St James’s rich cultural history including artists, writers and musicians Mary Beale, Mary Delany, William Blake, Ottobah Cugoano and Leopold Stokowski.
We try to put our faith into action by educating ourselves and speaking out on issues of injustice, especially concerning refugees, asylum, earth and racial justice, and LGBTQ+ issues.

Wardrobe is the new name for our donations hub providing clothing and supplies to people going through homelessness or living on low incomes.
We have been busy reorganising our basement rooms to create spaces for a new donations hub to provide clothing and other supplies to people going through homelessness or living on low incomes.
Wardrobe will run alongside Sunday Breakfast and FEAST on Mondays, and also on Tuesday afternoons.
If you’re interested in helping us to source and sort donations, and to match them with new owners, then please contact Robin.
And we welcome donations of clean & good quality clothing whenever the church is open, especially of men’s shoes, boots and trainers in sizes 8-12.
This project is funded through our Solidarity Fund.
