Become a Friend

Help us make a difference in the community

We believe there is has never been a more important time to build communities of faith that are open-hearted and open-minded, committed to service of others and determined to work across faiths for the good of all. St James’s has for decades, tried to build that kind of community, where compassion and imagination are placed at the service of the common good. Our ambition is high, not for ourselves, but for our city and society, most especially for those in need or trouble of any kind. We want to be part of building a London that all of us want to live in.

Become a Friend of St James’s

Help us value each person who comes through the gates; the 20,000 who attend our services each year, the 10,000 people who rest, take lunch or coffee in our courtyard, and garden each week. The 5,000 clients who use our counselling Shepherds Hut in a year, or our homeless guests who receive the 6,500 plates of food served through the year. Every person is unique and makes us who we are.

You may be a corporate neighbour working nearby, or have been to a concert here. Help us sustain and develop our work by making a donation.

You can make a one-off donation, of course, but would you consider making a monthly gift to help us plan?

A gift of £5 a month helps serve a weekly hot meal to our homeless guests for example and £10 a month would help us support those who receive counselling in the Shepherds Hut in our courtyard.

£20 a month would support our asylum and refugee advocate in that vital work.

Your monthly gift will place you, as a valued friend, at the heart of the community, helping us be the kind of London you want to live in.
