the celebration, challenge & love this community generates

Deborah has been involved at St James’s for many years, reveling in the celebration, challenge and love this community generates. She is energized by initiatives to develop community, and by thinking at the nexus of faith, environment, and science which translates into Earth Justice action at St James’s.

Deborah began life as a farmer and agricultural scientist in Australia before joining the world of formal education for a quarter of a century where she worked as a teacher, school leader and coach.

These days, most of her work is voluntary, focused on climate change and biodiversity, and St James’s activities. Her wildlife observation skills are improving slowly and she is a keen (and quite impulsive) gardener.

Deborah currently serves as one of our Churchwardens.
