Ben Mariam

Ben originally trained as a Mechanical Engineer at the University of Birmingham before taking a different career path to become a qualified chartered accountant. Ben’s career to date has seen him work as an accountant in Higher Education, Retail and most recently Premier League football, where he was Finance Manager for 3 years at Crystal Palace Football Club.

Ben values the varied nature of worship that St James’s subscribes to, being both progressive and orthodox in its approach – taking the bible seriously whilst taking great care to apply its meaning to today’s social context. When not attending St James’s, Ben enjoys the theatre, the outdoors and dining out with friends.

Ben currently serves as Honorary Treasurer on our PCC.
