Roll out the red carpet for our congregation by greeting them when they arrive and serving tea & coffee after the service. Email the Churchwardens for more information.

The music covers a wide range of eras and styles including contemporary classical, classical, Soul, jazz, plainchant and Taizé. Email Michael Haslam, Director of Music, for more information.
Be part of the servers’ team. Supported by the clergy, servers are part of the liturgy team on Sunday mornings. If you’d like to join the team, email Ayla, Associate Rector.

Are you open to the way children see and experience? …become a little child that will enter the Kingdom of Heaven: Whose meaning is “deeper far than generally believed.” (Traherne). Join our team to offer a monthly Godly Play Service for children at St James’s; email David for more details.
Cook for and offer hospitality to our special guests. On Monday evenings we provide a 2-course sit-down meal in the church for around 35 people who are experiencing homelessness or on low income. The food, donated by City Harvest, is freshly prepared and served by volunteers who cook and host the meal. To volunteer, email Robin, the Food Outreach Coordinator.
