That’s amazing Rev Andrew. I know that in traditional Hinduism when you’ve done your karmic duty – fulfilled your ‘sacred’ caste role in society – if you are lucky you can then concentrate on your dharmic path/duty (that is, your search for ultimate truth). If you so wish you can become a wandering sanyassin and practice austerities and detachment. And here you are doing your Christian karmic duty diligently – as a Priest rather than as Brahmin – and when you are free to embrace your dharmic path you want to go up the pub! Tee hee – your comment is most relevant to the discussion started by Hugh above.
