That [Dick's Memoir about the St James's Vagabond group] was great fun to read even without any familiarity with the Vagabonds. I am also happy now to have a reason to go dig through Songs of Experience. I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to lyric poetry, but I'll do my best. You're not a pretentious plonker at all! We all need to remember the words and ways of the fathers and mothers of the church. Tim from North Carolina USA

Tim that's most kind - but I can indeed be a bit of a plonker. And have you noticed the press of people queuing up to confirm your gracious judgment here? Form an orderly queue please! :-D Och well, I can never live up to my great namesakes reputation. But I console myself that lesser names have made a most important contribution, to Albion's glory, pride and fame though they were liliputians. :-D

I'll be second in line in promising that you're definitely not a pretentious plonker, Dick. And I don't fib. :)
