‘My dear friends, let us love one another,
because love is from God;
everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.’
1 John 4:7-8

  • Who We Are

    The current coordinator of our LGBTQ+ Group is Ben Bloom

  • What We Do

    Following the Covid-19 hiatus, we’re planning a new programme of activities and events for 2022.

  • Getting Involved

    Contact Ben (via the Churchwardens) to find out more and get involved.

  • Here at St James’s, we are clear that the Christian faith is founded on love, indiscriminate and eternal.

    But the relationship between organised religion and the expression of human sexuality is complex, and we recognise the courage that it takes sometimes for people who identify as LGBTQ+ to even get in touch with a church.

    Following the Covid-19 hiatus, we’re planning a new programme of activities and events for 2022. To find out more and get involved, contact group coordinator Ben.

    And in the meantime, you may be interested to watch our panel discussion on Queer Theology (below).

    Queer Theology Panel Discussion

    In 2021, St James’s hosted an ecumenical panel discussion on the topic of Queer Theology, which you can watch on YouTube here.

    Our Trans Faith panel discussion will take place on Wednesday 9th February 2022.
