What sad news of such a vibrant lady - memories of Didi from way back. She was a fellow member of "Shindig" in Glen Street, in late 1970's, Edinburgh, and we kept in touch until my first child arrived, when she visited us in Lincolnshire . So much life and and enthusiasm. Recently managed to be in contact again when I found she was at St James' She shone like a diamond. Blessed soul..

I just learnt today 26/01/2020 of the death of Mercedes after asking of her whereabouts during the farewell service for Rev. Hugh Valentine at SJP Piccadilly, and was shocked beyond belief. I even more shocked that it's almost 2yrs and I had not known of the passing of this beautiful and loving lady who loved and encouraged us members of the African community at SJP.

I only just heard of Didi's passing today.. Such a loss of a beautiful person. I met her first in Edinburgh when I participated in a music therapy workshop at the Salisbury Centre. Being both South Africans we became friends, and again I visited her in Bez Valley Johannesburg. Sadly I'd not seen her for many years when she passed.. I briefly made contact a few years ago. Rest in Peace my dear!
