It costs £3,500 per day to keep our beautiful church, in the heart of St James’s, open, active, creative, and able to serve the community through our social outreach!
We can’t do it without your help, and so invite you to consider organising a fundraiser for us.
You may have something planned already; we would love to hear from you. You can tell us more by clicking the button below.
If you are not sure where to start, we’ve listed a few ideas below to get you started.
Life’s big events
You may want to mark a special birthday, wedding or civil partnership, a baptism or confirmation, or the funeral of a loved one. Instead of gifts you could ask for donations to the church – a wonderful way to support us.
If you are looking for something active why not do a sponsored ramble with friends, or set up personal cycle challenge?
If you have your own place in an organised event such as a half marathon, tough mudder or cycle race you could name us as your charity of choice and invite your colleagues and friends to support you.
If physical activities or challenges are not your thing there are plenty of social activities you could do to raise funds.
These include coffee mornings, a dinner party at your home, a car boot sale, quiz night or wine and cheese night.
Please also remember that your employer may operate a match funding scheme for employees’ fundraising activities. This is a great way of doubling what you raise.
You will find a link to Just Giving below – our preferred fundraising partner – and a step-by-step guide for those of you who have not used it before. It is quick and easy to do.
