St James’s is a busy Anglican Church in central London with a broad range of activities including services, concerts, a daily market and a variety of ministries and projects.
We are currently looking for someone with good communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people.
Previous experience of pastoral work, an understanding of the dynamics of parish life and a mature Christian faith are essential requirements. The successful applicant will be
open, energetic, willing to learn and in sympathy with the church’s aims and ethos.
Main responsibilities will be to support key areas of pastoral care and provision.

Director of Business and Operations:

St James’s Church, Piccadilly presents an exciting and unique opportunity for a newly created part-time role of Director of Business and Operations to help shape the next phase in the life of a dynamic, vibrant and growing church community.
The role will be part time e.g. 3 or 4 days per week for 20/25 hours per week - the salary will be pro-rata of full time equivalent of circa £45k per annum.
As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with the Rector. The main responsibilities are to provide sound financial analysis and appraisal of the organisation's strategic initiatives with regard to optimising income streams. This will include modelling for business growth opportunities, and providing sound commercial evaluation. You will be a motivational manager able to co-create solutions through providing commercial expertise that includes new business initiatives and new projects.
The successful candidate will be in sympathy with and proactively support St James’s Church mission, ethos and practice; have an entrepreneurial background with marketing expertise and the ability to work with a wide range of people.
